2024 Delta State Football League Team Groupings Announced

The highly anticipated 2024 Delta State Football League is just around the corner, and the team groupings have been officially announced. The league is divided into four zones: Sapele, Oleh, Agbor, and Ogwashi-Uku, each with its own set of teams vying for a spot in the next round.

Sapele Zone

The Sapele Zone boasts eight teams, including Itamah Football Academy, Umiagwha FC, Superior Eagles FC, Morak Football Academy, Igho FC, Enderaine FC, Mighty Wonderers Football Academy, and Ogunbor United FC. These teams will compete fiercely, with the top two teams advancing to the next stage.

Oleh Zone

In the Oleh Zone, seven teams will face off, comprising Excellent Football Academy, Winsome FC, Successful FC, Osevan FC, Excellent FC, Ndame Football Academy, and Emasvilla FC. Similar to the Sapele Zone, the top two teams will qualify for the next round. 

Agbor Zone

The Agbor Zone features five teams: Young Soccer Academy, Soccer Star FC, Acquire FC, Ihu-Iyase FC, and P. Football Club. With only one team advancing from this zone, the competition is expected to be intense.

Ogwashi-Uku Zone

The Ogwashi-Uku Zone is unique, with three groups (A, B, and C) consisting of four teams each. Group A includes Alika FC, Young Shall Grow FC, Brave Hearts FA, and Delta Lions FA. Group B comprises Rising Stars FC, Soccer Flight FA, Delta Marines FC, and Raiders FC. Group C features ABC Starlets FA, Intensity FC, Sowers FC, and Matrix FC. Three teams, one from each group, will advance to the next stage.

Next Steps

The official draws for the league will take place in August, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for these teams. With a total of eight teams advancing from the four zones and will compete in a Super 8. The competition is set to be fierce. Stay tuned for updates on the 2024 Delta State Football League.
