In a bid to foster competitive football and nurture talents in the region, the Ughelli North Football Council (UNFC) is proud to announce the commencement of the UNFC 2024/2025 League. This highly anticipated tournament is set to kick off on November 20th, 2024, and will feature 16 teams divided into two groups, A and B.
The UNFC 2024/2025 League will follow a structured format, with the 16 participating teams split into two groups of eight teams each. The group stage will see each team compete against the other teams in their respective groups, with the top four teams from each group advancing to the Super 8 stage. The Super 8 teams will then compete in a round-robin format, with the top four teams progressing to the semifinals and eventually the finals.
In preparation for the league, each club is required to register a minimum of 30 players. This move aims to encourage team depth and provide opportunities for a broader range of players to participate in the competition.
