In a brief but colorful ceremony held at the Real Madrid Academy in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, July 7th, Finidi George officially signed with Rivers United FC. The event was attended by notable figures, including the Honourable Commissioner for Sports in Rivers State, Barrister Chris Green, the General Manager of Rivers United FC, Chief Dr. Okey Kpalukwu, management staff, and members of the media.
The following day, Thursday, July 4th, Finidi George was formally unveiled to the public in a ceremony held at the Sharks Stadium in Port Harcourt. The event featured exciting performances from Rivers Angels FC and the Rivers United FC Supporters Club.
On Monday, July 8th, Finidi George led his first training session as Technical Manager of Rivers United at the Garden City Sports Complex, located within the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium. He was joined by the technical crew, comprising Coach Evans Ogenyi, Coach Ken Chukwu, and Coach Sunday Rotimi, as the team began preparations for the upcoming season.
This marks the beginning of a new chapter for Rivers United FC, and fans are eagerly anticipating the impact Finidi George's expertise will have on the team's performance.
