The organisers of the prestigious Stephen Keshi National U-17 Football Tournament have announced the dates for the sixth edition of the competition, slated to kick off from November 19 to 24, 2024, at the Nigerian Postal Service Institute in Egor, Edo State.
On November 19, teams from across the nation will converge in Edo State, setting the stage for an electrifying opening game on November 20. The grand finale, scheduled for November 24, promises to be an unforgettable conclusion to the tournament.
This year's tournament will pay tribute to the legendary Late Stephen Keshi, a former national team captain and coach of the Super Eagles, who passed away on June 7, 2016. A memorial lecture will be held to celebrate his enduring legacy.
Launched in 2018, the Stephen Keshi National U-17 Football Tournament has become a premier platform for discovering and nurturing young football talent. This year's event marks the eighth-anniversary ceremony of Late Stephen Keshi's passing and promises to showcase the best of Nigerian youth football.
