RIVERS FA/KEVES GLOBAL COMPETITION: 40 CLUBS REGISTER AS FORMS DISTRIBUTION BEGINS AHEAD OF JULY 22 KICKOFF


PORT HARCOURT – The office of the Rivers State Football Association was a beehive of activities on Monday as representatives of clubs converged on the FA secretariat for the collection of players’ registration forms and licenses for the 4th edition of the Rivers State FA/Keves Global Football Competition.

Club officials thronged the FA office to pick up the required documents ahead of the tournament, which is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday, 22nd July, 2026.

The forms and licenses are to be duly completed and returned to the office of the Secretary for ratification and endorsement on or before Monday, 13th July, 2026 as the capacity building sermina and draws for the tournament will be held on Tuesday, 14th July, 2026 at the FA office in Port Harcourt.

According to the Rivers State Football Association Secretary, Mr. Omiete Edwin Tamuno, 40 clubs have so far registered to participate in this year’s championship. The tournament will be played in two categories: the Amateur Category, which will feature 32 teams, and the All Stars Youth Category, which will feature 8 teams.
The Rivers State FA/Keves Global Football Competition has grown to become one of the premier grassroots football competitions in the country, providing a platform for young talents to showcase their skills and for clubs to prepare ahead of the new football season.

RSFA Secretary, Mr. Omiete Edwin Tamuno urged all participating clubs to ensure timely submission of their documents to avoid disqualification.
