Rivers State FA/Keves Global Football Competition Set for July 22 Kick-Off at Sharks Stadium

PORT HARCOURT, Rivers State – The Rivers State Football Association, RSFA, in partnership with Keves Global, will officially kick off the 2026 RSFA/Keves Global Football Competition on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, with all matches to be staged at the Sharks Stadium, Port Harcourt. 

The competition is designed to expand grassroots participation and keep veteran players active, with entry exclusively open to non-League players and footballers aged 40 years and above.

The tournament will be contested across two categories: 

1.  Amateur Category – For non-League players.

2.  All-Stars 40+ Category – For players aged 40 and above, celebrating experience and longevity in the game. 

Big Money Prizes

Organizers have announced a total prize fund of ₦7,000,000 to be shared between both categories: 

Amateur Category:

1st Place: ₦2,000,000 | 2nd Place: ₦1,400,000 | 3rd Place: ₦1,000,000

All-Stars 40+ Category:

1st Place: ₦1,000,000 | 2nd Place: ₦600,000 | 3rd Place: ₦400,000

Post-Registration Activities: Seminar and Draws

Following the close of registration on Wednesday, July 16, 2026, RSFA will first host a free capacity-building seminar on the Amendments to the Laws of the Game for all participating coaches and match officials. 

The seminar will precede the official draws ceremony, where fixtures and groupings for both categories will be determined. The sequence is designed to ensure all technical personnel are updated on the latest Laws of the Game before competition begins. 

Registration has been kept affordable to encourage wide participation.

RSFA officials said centralizing all fixtures at Sharks Stadium will guarantee better organization, increased fan attendance, and a festival atmosphere throughout the competition. 

Full fixtures and matchday schedules will be released by the RSFA Secretariat following the seminar and draws, ahead of the July 22 kick-off.
