Ughelli, Delta State - In a groundbreaking move, the Ughelli North Football Council has partnered with renowned international scout, Mr. Paul Ojo Omamomo, Head of Scouting Department at FCD Vista, Botev FC Bulgaria, and P Sports Football Academy, to launch the Ughelli North Football Council National U-17 Cup.
From November 1st to 6th, 2024, eight states will converge at the Ughelli Township Stadium and Ogor Technical College Pitch in Ughelli, Delta State, to showcase their budding talents. This prestigious tournament promises a thrilling display of youthful football prowess.
Chairman of the Ughelli North Football Council, Mr. Onome Ikrechero Johnbull, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership. "We're thrilled to partner with renowned international scouts, providing a platform for our talented youths to gain exposure and secure opportunities abroad." Mr. Johnbull commended the Delta State Football Association for their support, citing their commitment to grassroots football development.

Scouting for Excellence
African Chief Scout of FDC Vista, Mr. Paul Ojo Omamomo, aims to provide opportunities for Nigerian players. "We have many talented players in Nigeria but very few opportunities." Top players will be selected for education and football development in Russia on full scholarship.
The four semi-finalists will receive branded jerseys, and other football equipment will be distributed during the program, including balls. FDC Vista has received awards for organizing the best scouting program in the country.
The Delta State Football Association and the Ughelli North Football Council invites football enthusiasts, scouts, and media representatives to witness Nigeria's future football stars in action.
