In a show of support for grassroots football development, Prince Tejiri Ziregbe, a renowned grassroots mobilizer and youth development enthusiast, has donated Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000) to the Ewu Kingdom team participating in the upcoming Ighelle Urhobo Youth Football Competition, tagged Ighelle Cup 2024.
Prince Ziregbe praised Coach Onome James Ikrechero for taking on the responsibility of leading the Ewu Kingdom team despite the short preparation time. "I commend your effort, Coach Onome Ikrechero Johnbull, for accepting the challenge. Your hard work and dedication are evident, and I am confident we will excel in the tournament."
Coach Ikrechero expressed gratitude to Prince Ziregbe, assuring him that the team will not disappoint. "We appreciate your support and promise to make Ewu Kingdom proud."
The Ighelle Cup 2024 will feature 24 Urhobo kingdoms competing in a knockout format. Ewu Kingdom FC will face Effurun Otor Kingdom in the opening match on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 3 pm at the Ogor Technical College Pitch.
