Barrister Chris Green, a three-time Rivers State Sports Commissioner, has lavished praise on Nigeria's Women's Basketball team, D'Tigress, for their outstanding display at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. Despite falling to the United States 88-74 in the quarterfinals, D'Tigress impressed with a commendable performance, including a remarkable win over Australia and a strong victory over Canada.
Barr. Green described the team's achievement as "nothing short of heroic and worthy of commendation and emulation." He expressed pride in the team's superlative displays, echoing the sentiments of Nigerians nationwide. "I am proud of your heroic performances, which are worthy of commendation and emulation," he said.
Barr. Green specifically commended head coach Rena Wakama for her exceptional leadership skills and professional competence, which contributed to the team's unprecedented success.
