Ekpan, Nigeria - The final match of the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori U-17 Unity Football competition is set to take place on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the Ekpan Police Barracks pitch, as Team Uvwie takes on Team Ughelli North. The highly anticipated match is scheduled to kick off at 2 pm.
The two teams have emerged as the top U-17 sides in the state, and the final promises to be a thrilling encounter. The match is expected to attract a large crowd of football enthusiasts, as well as dignitaries from across the state. Among the expected guests are the Chairmen of the eight Local Government Areas in Delta State Central Senatorial District.
The special guest of honor, Chief Solomon Ighrakpata, Executive Chairman of the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, will be joined by Chief Idama Amuri, sponsor of the competition; Edema Fuludu, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC); and Chief Anthony Ofoni, Executive Chairman of Uvwie local government area and chief host of the event.
