The Delta State Football Association 2025 State League is set to kick off on October 6, featuring 40 teams divided into eight groups of five teams each. Excellent FC of Ughelli has been drawn in Group C, alongside Champion FC, Delta Dynamo FC, Kadpeck FC, and Ortega FC, with matches to be played at the Oleh Centre.
Mr. Onome Ikrechero, CEO of Excellent FC, expressed his team's readiness for the league, commending the Delta State Football Association's organizational efforts. "We are looking forward to a competitive and exciting league," he said.
League Format and Groupings
The league will follow a round-robin format, with the top team from each group advancing to the Super 8 stage. The groupings are as follows:
- Group A (Ogwashi Uku): Special FA, Destephs FA, Ndame FA, Osevan FC, Blessed FC
- Group B (Oleh): World Stars FC, Superb Rangers FC, Red Dynamo FC, Ogehenero FC, Boye FC
- Group C (Oleh): Champion FC, Delta Dynamo FC, Kadpeck FC, Excellent FC, Ortega FC
- Group D (Agbor): Young Soccer Academy, Young Shall Grow, Alika FA, Vissionaries FC, Intensity FC
- Group E (Agbor): Raising Star FC, Soccer Flight FC, Millennium FA, Delta Lions FC, United Stars FC
- Group F (Ogwashi Uku): Soccer Star FC, Young Soccer Feeders FA, ABC Starlets FC, Sporting Delta FC, Sower FA
- Group G (Ogwashi Uku): Johnny FA, Brave Heart FA, United Stars FA, Raiders FC, Never Walk Alone FC
- Group H (Sapele): Itamah FC, Destiny Stars FC, Ogunbor FC, Igho FC, Morak Feeders FC
